It’s been a while since ice blue denim has had a notable fashion moment (at least 20 years). So it seems like just the right time for a huge comeback. And who better to capture a denim trend just before it hits than Sea? The New York label that is known for its chilled-out mood and directional denim styles was all about the light blue for spring. Skirts, culottes, and dresses were rendered in the fabric which was over-washed to give it a sun-bleached finish and super soft hand (some pieces so faded that they almost looked white). But these good vibrations go way beyond denim. Gingham, another big hit for spring, showed up in a couple of dresses, including an asymmetrical babydoll that is both cute and cool. Crisp white and cream linen gets worked into paper bag trousers, belted vests, embroidered peasant blouses. And as always, Sea throws in their signature loose-fit jumpsuit, this season in midnight blue cotton voile.
